My name is Jack Allsopp, I am a Photojournalist for Fox 8 WGHP, in High Point North Carolina. I graduated from the  University of New England with a Bachelors in Communications and a writing minor. I grew up in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, but have spend the past five years living in Maine between college in Biddeford and my summer job as a camp counselor at Winona Camps in Bridgton Maine. I have a passion for all things nature as I love to hike, camp, white water kayak, rock climb, and photograph. I am an avid writer, speaker, photographer, and videographer who is pursuing a career in journalism.  I spent a semester working for the Portland Press Herald as a Feature Intern where I published three articles on a variety of topics. I am the former Editor-in-Chief of UNE’s The Bolt, the student-run online news publication. I joined the news team as a staff writer back in 2017 during my freshman year when it was formally known as Nor’easter News and after ascending the ranks through passion and commitment, I became the editor during the start of my junior year. During my sohpmore year, I studied abroad at UNE’s Morocco campus and found a passion for travel-writing.
