Reflection

I think we have a good groundwork for our news release but understand that it needs to be cleaned up a little. I think we need to do a few different things for our news release. The first is to make it a little more organized and second is to expand on our company a little. We hinted at unpacking our company more with a quote about a student who was buying notes, something we have discussed little of. So for our revised draft, I think it would be beneficial to introduce that quote better to that it makes more sense when reading the news release. Also, I feel we need to add some more details to our press released. It feels a little light, I want to add more meat to our release so that people understand our company better.

Reflection 2

I enjoyed the news release because it felt like I was coming back to an area of writing I am good at. As for my role in composing the news release, we both had an equal hand in drafting the first draft. I think that I did a little more writing and Caitlyn helped to hone in on the organizational aspect of the news release and also on what we needed to include. In our duo, I was had a lot of the ideas and she was there to guide the ideas into a place that they fit best. This way it created a good match because we had a good amount of content to work with and a good way of sorting through that content into what works and what doesn’t. As for the final draft. We both had ideas about what to change and where to add more content. It worked out really well in the end because we both agreed on what to improve and how much improving it needed. Overall, we work great together and I think the news release went smoothly.
