Social change is what makes societies blossom. Change is not only necessary, but inevitable too. It is impossible to find a society with very little change that has occurred over the course of it’s existence. Change is everywhere but it is most important in society where it will affect a large number of people. Without that change, traditions become stagnant and that can lead to unequal balance between that society and the culturally acceptable ideals that a even larger group have adopted. No change means no innovation, progression, and flourishing. We need change to progress in time, as we have for thousands of years. New ideas are necessary to replace old and outdated ones to make a better, effective, and diverse society. We should care because social change affects all of us and it has affected us all our lives. We wouldn’t be the people we are today without social change. Change has affected the way we make friends, present ourselves, choose our hobbies, politically think, choose our biases and beliefs, think about our friends, choose our sexual orientation etc. There is an infinite list of things that our affected by social change. Social change is everywhere, and will always be apart of society whether we like it or not.
